Grace is a Registered Veterinary Technician who graduated from the Veterinary Technology program at Dalhousie Agricultural Campus in 2022 and successfully completed her VTNE later that year. Her passion for veterinary medicine began even earlier when she attended Dr. Tim Ogilvie Vet Camp at 13 years old, an experience that helped confirm her love for the profession.
Grace loves many aspects of her role, especially laboratory work, venipuncture, and learning about the medications that help our patients feel their best. She has a special interest in pharmacology and cardiology and enjoys continuing to grow her knowledge so she can provide the best possible care.
One of Grace’s favourite parts of working at Uniacke Lakes Animal Hospital is the close connection with the community. She loves that being a local clinic allows her to build meaningful relationships with clients and watch patients grow throughout their lives. She describes the team as feeling like a small family, and we couldn’t agree more.
At home, Grace’s family is full of personality:
🐱 Jacoby, her cuddly long-haired cat, was her first pet of her own and loves attention so much that he’ll reach out for more pets when you try to stop.
🐱 Morty, her goofy Sphynx, is full of curiosity, loves cozy blanket cocoons, and believes any interesting food is worth investigating.
🐱 Biggy, her orange tabby, has plenty of classic cat attitude and makes sure everyone remembers when it’s time to eat.
Outside of the clinic, Grace is a creative soul who enjoys painting rocks, crafting, knitting, making greeting cards, and listening to music on her record player. She’s also a huge car enthusiast, loves working on her VW Golf GTI, enjoys scenic drives, and spends time gaming with her boyfriend.
Grace brings compassion, patience, problem-solving skills, and a willingness to help wherever she’s needed.
